NEW STAFF AT HILL & KNOWLTON

Hill & Knowlton Canada has hired Dann Michols as a senior associate in the Health and Pharmaceutical practice in Ottawa. Michols has a 35-year career in the federal public service behind him, including 20 years at the assistant deputy minister level and a period at Health Canada. He will advise clients on regulatory and policy developments. The agency has also hired Doug Husson as a senior associate in Ottawa. Another former civil servant, Husson spent 39 years at the Department of National Defence. In Calgary, Hill & Knowlton has appointed Ken Boessenkool vice-president of business development. He will provide strategic counsel and analysis regarding reputation and issues management, communications, regulatory service government relations and corporate positioning. Boessenkool was previously senior policy advisor to National Conservative leader Stephen Harper.
