Sports apparel manufacturer Reebok Canada has signed a sponsorship agreement with NBA basketball team the Toronto Raptors. The team is the first in Canada to sign such a deal with Reebok. The agreement encompasses arena signage, LED board messages, merchandise, and the naming rights to the team's practice area, which will be called the RbK Court. Reebok will also sponsor the Raptorball community program, which teaches basketball to children aged seven to 14. "The Raptors are proud to be the first professional sports team in Canada to sign an agreement of this magnitude with Reebok," said Tom Anselmi, executive vice-president of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, which owns the team. "We look forward to a long-term partnership and growing this relationship into new and innovative territory." No specifics as to the financial size or duration of the agreement are available.
