CONCERNED CHILDREN'S ADVERTISERS BEGINS HEALTH PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
Concerned Children's Advertisers is planning a national initiative called "Long Live Kids." Television public service announcements and educational materials will encourage children to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A 60-second commercial developed by J. Walter Thompson is the first in a series of ads for the program. The ad uses animation and a theme song to describe the link between food consumption and energy production. It also encourages children to use that energy to be active. The educational materials will be distributed for free to schools and community organizations. They consist of a CD-ROM and a workshop guide. The program will run for three years.
