MCDONALD'S RESUMES MONOPOLY CONTEST

Participating Canadian McDonald's restaurants will begin a contest called "The Monopoly Best Chance" today. Players must obtain a game board from a participating restaurant or download one from the chain's Web site. Players will receive game pieces with certain purchases. Customers can win by collecting these pieces or by playing online at <http://www.playatmcd.com>. McDonald's has also formed an association with Future Shop by which purchasers of certain products will receive "Future Shop Bucks" that can be used for a discount at the electronics retailer. The Monopoly promotion will run until Nov. 15. Advertising plans for the promotion could not be determined before press time. Public relations for McDonald's are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide of Toronto.
