FAMOUS PLAYERS TARGETS ADVERTISERS DURING NHL LOCKOUT

Toronto-based theatre operator Famous Players is using the NHL lockout as a way to attract new advertisers. Sales reps from Famous Players Media are pitching cinema advertising to advertisers and agencies as a potential alternative to hockey-related advertising, according to Jeff Rush, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Famous Players. The company sells on-screen advertising, print ads in Famous magazine, and posters. Famous Players operates 763 screens at 78 locations in Canada.
