Montreal-based Yellow Pages Group has signed an agreement with California-based search engine Google through which Yellow Pages business listings will be available on Google's new local search service Google Local Canada, located at <http://local.google.ca>. Approximately 2.4 million Yellow Pages listings will be carried by the site. Users will be able to search for vendors of specific items in specific areas, such as coffee shops in Vancouver. According to Jean-Pascal Lion, vice-president of electronic directories at Yellow Pages Group, "In addition to YellowPages.ca, it gives users another entry point to access our information, which ultimately provides our advertisers with greater exposure."
