PEPSI PROMOTES COLLECTOR CANS

Pepsi-Cola Canada of Mississauga has released a series of limited edition Team Canada Gold Medal Jersey collector cans as part of a promotion tied to the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. The six cans display Team Canada jerseys from 1920 to 2002. New cans will be released weekly until the end of the World Cup on Sept. 14. The promotion also includes a package-based instant-win contest for 2004 Team Canada jerseys. Pepsi's World Cup of Hockey initiatives are being promoted in-stores, with advertising and with public relations. The advertising was created by BBDO. The in-store materials were produced by Capital C Communications. The can designs were created by Hunter Straker. Public relations are being handled by Strategic Objectives. All of these agencies are based in Toronto.
