AWARD SHOW ROUND UP

The Canadian Public Relations Society has given the 2004 Philip A. Novikoff Memorial Award to David Eisenstadt, founder of Toronto-based PR firm The Communications Group. Eisenstadt received the award at the CPRS annual convention. "The Novikoff Award is presented to an accredited member of the society who has furthered the standing of the public relations profession in Canada over time, through professional and public relations practice, service to CPRS and the community at large," said Karen Dalton, executive director of the society. The award, established in 1989, has been awarded to nine other recipients: Louis Cahill, Dean Miller, David Annesley, Steven Parker, Ruth Hammond, Luc Beauregard, Jim Osborne, Jean Freeman and Barbara Sheffield.
