KIDSFUTURES, CITI CARDS RELEASE JOINT MASTERCARD

Loyalty program KidsFutures and credit card issuer Citi Cards Canada have released a new credit card called the Citi KidsFutures MasterCard. The loyalty program, which debuted last fall, gives multiple adults contributions into a registered education savings plan on a behalf of a child when they shop at participating companies. Users of the new MasterCard will receive up to two percent in contributions on all purchases, plus the usual rewards if the merchant is a KidsFutures affiliate. KidsFutures and Citi Cards will begin promoting the card during the back-to-school season with radio ads and direct mail created by Wills & Company. Public relations for the launch of the MasterCard are being handled by Cohn & Wolfe.
