DIGIAL IMAGES COMPANY SELLING OLD PICTURES
By Adnews Staff
EclectiCollections Publishing of Toronto will introduce its first CD-ROM library to North America next month. Entitled All Our Yesterdays, the 10-volume library contains over 3,500 royalty-free historical images, including engravings, woodcuts, photographs and lithographs, all scanned and restored from private collections and publishers. The stock image company will back the launch with a North American print campaign. It is being created by The George Partnership and Ramsay Writes, both of Toronto. The CD-ROM library is for graphic artists. Most of the advertising for All Our Yesterdays is being done in the U.S. because the graphic artist market is bigger there. Beginning in July, EclectiCollections will launch a new collection of historical images each month. The company was founded by president Ron Moore, who most recently was partner and executive creative director at The Mariposa Communications Group of Toronto. Moore founded that company in 1976 and sold it in 1995 to start up The Glasgow Corp., which owns EclectiCollections.
