CALIFORNIA STRAWBERRY COMMISSION PICKS KETCHUM

The California Strawberry Commission has hired Ketchum Public Relations of Toronto to execute a number of PR projects in Canada. The commission represents approximately 700 California strawberry growers, shippers and processors. It selected Ketchum without a review. "We expect Ketchum will help us expand awareness in Canada about the nutritional benefits of strawberries and, in particular, California strawberries," said Chris Christian, director of product marketing for the commission. The commission did not previously have a Canadian public relations agency. Ketchum's first project will be a media audit, according to Tracy Levy, an account executive at Ketchum.
