ROCKPORT BEGINS NATIONAL MARKETING INITIATIVE

Rockport Canada has begun a national marketing campaign. Toronto-based Mediarite Targeted Marketing has created an eight-page mailer which has been sent to approximately 700,000 Canadian households. The piece promotes shoes from the Rockport spring line. It also describes a contest by which consumers who visit a Rockport retailer can win a Vespa ET2 scooter. The effort also includes in-store posters and, at some locations, a three-dimensional scooter.
