TORONTO SEEKS BRAND STRATEGY

The City of Toronto, Tourism Toronto, the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Recreation and the Toront03 Alliance have committed $4 million to the promotion of Toronto as a "premier global tourist and business destination." The the search for a new brand strategy for the city began today with the release of a request for qualifications at <www.toronto.ca/branding>. Agencies have until April 13 to express interest. Qualified agencies will be invited to submit proposals. A decision will be made by late May. The re-branding plan is expected to be ready by December, with implementation to begin early next year.
