TORONTO STAR PUTS PRINT ADS ONLINE

The Toronto Star has undertaken a new program by which an advertiser in the newspaper can purchase an interactive, digital version of its ad which will run on the paper's Web site at <http://www.thestar.com>. These ads will run in ten online ad spaces for runs of seven days. The ten ads rotate through five text links in a box entitled "Featured Advertisers" positioned on the site's home page above the Breaking News section. According to Frances Tse Ardika, advertising sales manager for Thestar.com, two local resorts and real estate developer Mattamy Homes have signed up for the service so far.
