Swedish clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz will open the first of five Canadian stores in Toronto in March. One store at the Fairview Mall will open on March 11. A second location will open in The Promenade on March 18. The stores will sell clothing for women, men, teens and children. The openings will be promoted with newspaper advertising and in-mall posters, according to H&M director of marketing for Canada Christian Bagnoud. Created in-house, the advertising will consist of photographs of models in H&M clothes along with product descriptions and prices. The tagline will be, "Fashion and quality at the best price." This advertising will be supported with public relations from Jane Gill & Associates of Toronto. Three additional stores H&M stores will open in the Markville Shopping Centre, Vaughan Mills and the Toronto Eaton Centre in the fall.
