ELECTRONIC ARTS HIRES WILCOX GROUP

Electronic Arts Canada has retained Wilcox Group as its public relations agency. Burnaby, BC-based Electronic Arts is owned by interactive software company Electronic Arts of Redwood City, CA. It hired Vancouver-based Wilcox Group without a review. Wilcox will work to raise awareness of Electronic Arts. It has already begun a media and communications campaign describing the success of Electronic Arts in Canada. The agency will also conduct media relations campaigns related to recruitment to run in conjunction with the company's other efforts. EA Canada plans to add 300 people to its staff of 1,100 within the next five years. Previously Canadian public relations were handled by Electronics Arts in Redwood City.
