SECOND CUP PROMOTES LATTE 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Second Cup is promoting the 25th anniversary of its Caffè Latte. The Toronto-based coffee retailer began selling the beverage, a mixture of espresso, steamed milk and foam, in 1979. The coffee comes in several flavours: Vanilla Bean Latte, Chai Latte, Vanilla Fudge Brownie Latte, Chocolate Toffee Latte and Chocolate Banana Latte. To promote the anniversary, Second Cup will hold Latte Tuesdays in its stores nationally. Each Tuesday between Jan. 27 and Feb. 24, a latte will cost two dollars. The offer will be supported with a six-week marketing program consisting of newspaper and radio advertising, in-store signage and public relations. The advertising and signage were created by Holmes & Lee - Advertising, Design & Interactive of Toronto. Public relations for Second Cup are handled by Strategic Objectives of Toronto.
