OTTAWA TRANSIT SHELTERS TO GET NEW DESIGN
By Adnews Staff
Clear Channel Outdoor of Toronto has begun converting 300 of Ottawa's 600 transit shelters to a new peaked roof-style design. The conversions are part of Clear Channel's contract with the city to handle its transit shelter advertising. Clear Channel won the five-year contract last summer. "The new peaked shelters are practical given Ottawa weather and also provides a more upscale and modern design which is attractive to advertisers and commuters alike," said Alan High, vice-president of marketing and operations, Clear Channel Outdoor. All 300 shelter conversions are expected to be complete by September. The remaining 300 shelters not scheduled for conversion will be refurbished.
