BLACK TO LEAVE HOLLINGER

Hollinger International chief executive officer Conrad Black will retire from that position on Friday. He will remain non-executive chairman of Hollinger and chairman of The Telegraph Group, a subsidiary of Hollinger. Two other senior Hollinger executives have also resigned: president and COO David Radler, who is also publisher of the Chicago Sun-Times, and Mark Kipnis, vice-president and corporate counsel. Gordon Paris become interim president and chief executive officer of Hollinger. Daniel Colson will take over as chief operating officer. Colson is also vice-chairman, a director of Hollinger and deputy chairman and CEO of the Telegraph Group. Hollinger has retained Lazard to evaluate the possible sale of the company or the sale of one or more of its properties.
