PFIZER RELEASES NEW BENYLIN COMMERCIAL
By Adnews Staff
J. Walter Thompson of Toronto has created two new television commercials for Pfizer Canada's Benylin cough syrup. The agency gained the account several months ago. The first ad, called "Diner," promotes the medication's Extra Strength formula with Menthactin, an ingredient which creates a cool sensation in the throat. In it, two men sit in a diner. The first man coughs. This leads to a conversation about Benylin Extra Strength and the "whoosh" feeling it causes in the throat. As the two stand up to leave they put on lab coats, revealing that they are doctors. The ad is running nationally in English and French. The second Benylin ad will be released in the near future, according to the company.
