CANADIAN SKI COUNCIL CAMPAIGNS TO KIDS
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Ski Council has resumed its "Grade 5 SnowPass" program for a seventh year. The intention of the initiative is to encourage children who were born in 1993 or are in grade five to try skiing or snowboarding with a free three-day SnowPass at participating Canadian ski resorts. The Canada West SnowPass is offered in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Canada East SnowPass is offered in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. The SnowPass also contains coupons for discounts on lessons, equipment rentals and other purchases, as well as coupons for free days at participating ski areas for the pass-holder to use when he or she is in grade six. Applications are being distributed at Sports Experts, Intersport, Sport Chek and Sport Mart stores, at the <http://www.snowpass.org> Web site and in Ski Press magazine. The program is also promoted with brochures sent to grade five teachers nationally.
