WESTIN BEDS DOWN WITH DDB NEEDHAM

U.S.-based Westin Hotels & Resorts gave its $25-million(US) worldwide advertising account to DDB Needham Worldwide of Chicago last week. Five-year incumbent, Cole & Weber of Seattle, along with several other unnamed agencies, participated in the review. In Canada all creative and media buying comes from the U.S. agency. Westin's Canadian ad budget for 1996 is $2 million. The account switch follows the sale of the hotel chain to Starwood Capital Group and Goldman, Sachs & Company early last year.
