WAR AMPS AND CFL RELEASE PSA
By Adnews Staff
The War Amps and the Canadian Football League released a new CFL Playsafe public service announcement over the weekend. The 30-second bilingual commercial is part of the league's ongoing association with the War Amps safety program. Created by The War Amps, the ad features Max Ramalho, a seven-year-old from Ottawa who lost a foot in a lawnmower accident. Ottawa Renegades players Lawrence Tynes, Jason Kralt, Kerry Joseph, Kelly Wiltshire and Josh Ranek also appear in the ad to discuss Max and the support he has received from the War Amps Child Amputee program. This program provides funding for artificial limbs, counselling and seminars. The ad will air during CFL game broadcasts on CBC and TSN until the end of the football season. The ad will also run on a number of local stations.
