TIM HORTONS PROMOTES BLT SANDWICH

Tim Hortons is promoting its new BLT sandwich with a four-week North American advertising campaign. Television, radio and outdoor ads will run nationally in Canada and in some U.S. markets through October. The 30-second TV commercial depicts a man who passes off a Tim Hortons BLT sandwich as his own creation. The radio ad depicts a father trying to make conversation with his teenage son. After an awkward conversation the two decide to go for a BLT. The advertising, produced by Enterprise Creative Selling of Toronto, is being supported with in-store materials. Media buying was handled by Excelerator Media of Toronto. In Quebec French-language television and radio ads have been developed by Enterprise/J. Walter Thompson. This advertising is a continuation of the Tim Hortons campaign that has been running in that province for five years.
