TOYOTA RELEASES NEW CAMRY SOLARA CAMPAIGN

DCC Communications of Toronto has created a new advertising campaign for Toyota Canada to promote the 2004 Camry Solara. The newspaper, magazine and outdoor ads use a large photo of the car in motion, driving on an empty highway. The headline reads "Empty nest? Time to fly." The copy says, "You've spent years taking care of the kids. Now how about the one screaming inside you?" The campaign's target market is adults 40 to 54 years of age, a demographic which, according to the agency, has the freedom and disposable income to buy a sporty car. The advertising will run until December in a number of Canadian markets. Ads for the 2004 Camry Solara convertible will break when that model is released next year.
