PROSTATE CANCER FOUNDATION BEGINS EDUCATION EFFORT

In conjunction with Prostate Cancer Awareness week this week, the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation of Canada has released a national education campaign aimed at men and their families. The campaign uses a walnut as a symbol of the disease. Online banner ads and a direct mail piece display an image of a walnut with the text, "What's the size and shape of a walnut and kills 4,300 men in Canada every year? Prostate cancer." The foundation's Web site at <http://www.prostatecancer.ca> offers information about the prevention and management of the disease. A Prostate Cancer Risk Assessment tool is also available, which will inform a user whether he is at low, moderate or high risk of prostate cancer. The foundation has also unveiled a new logo and tagline, created by The One Company of Toronto. The blue and orange logo and the "For every man you know" tagline are used on all of the awareness campaign materials. The direct mail piece was created by Nicholson-Fox Direct. The banner ads and Web site were developed by HJC New Media.
