CANADA COMPUTER PAPER DEBUTS NEW MAG

Canada Computer Paper of Toronto released the first issue of a new digital lifestyle magazine on Friday. Called Hub: Digital Living, the free, national publication will focus on home and personal electronics. The first issue contains articles on creating a photo gallery on the Web, digital SLR cameras, personal video recorders and online dating sites. Advertisers in the publication include Dell, Samsung, LG, Lexmark, Gigabyte Technology and MDG. The magazine's initial circulation is 265,000. Eight regional editions are distributed through magazine boxes and some consumer electronics stores and retailers. A four-week television and transit advertising campaign is promoting the magazine. The national television campaign was created by Tasac of Toronto. Transit advertising in Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa is also in use. Public relations for Hub are being handled by Fleishman-Hillard Canada of Toronto.
