ONTARIO LOTTERY BRINGS BACK WINTARIO
By Adnews Staff
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation will bring back its Wintario game this fall. Launched in 1975, Wintario was Ontario's first province-wide lottery. Its top prize was $200,000. Draws were held every second Thursday. The game was closed down in 1996. A new version of the game will run for a limited time this fall. During that time, Wintario Millions pouches will be sold containing five tickets for five draws to be held on consecutive Thursday nights beginning Oct. 30 and ending Nov. 27. To win, a player must match at least two of the seven digit numbers drawn each week. Each ticket will also have two instant win areas. The lottery corporation will promote the game with in-store materials at lottery retailers.
