HARBINGER READIES LIGHTER AND SHAVER CAMPAIGNS FOR BIC CANADA

Toronto-based Harbinger is preparing for the launch of BIC Canada's new candle lighter, the Luminère. The wand-shaped device is designed to light candles while held in three positions. The agency will also work on promotions for the 30th anniversary of the BIC classic lighter this fall. Harbinger has also begun work on a promotion called "Smooth Moves" for BIC shavers. The retail and online promotion will start later this month. Harbinger won BIC Canada's lighter and shaver accounts earlier this year in a review that involved an unknown number of agencies. The agency has already conducted a product placement promotion called "Light Up Canada Day" for the BIC Mega Lighter Utility Lighter.
