COREL PREPARES NEW CAMPAIGN

Ottawa-based software company Corel will release a new advertising campaign next month promoting its creative software. A series of print ads will depict two people in provocative poses with one of the following lines of copy: "Illustrator by day," "Creative Director by day," or "Designer by day." Each ad will also display one of the following Web address: <http://www.corel.com/angelic>, <http://www.corel.com/devilish> or <http://www.corel.com/mermaid>. The addresses will lead to three Web sites describing Corel's products for corporate, small business and freelance designers. The advertising, created in-house, will run until November in magazines including PC World, Wired, How, Creativity and Communication Arts. A Web-based campaign, created by MacMillan of Ottawa, will be hosted by each Web site at the end of September. Public relations for Corel are handled by Maverick Public Relations of Toronto.
