VISA BEGINS OLYMPIC YOUTH ART COMPETITION

Visa has resumed its "Olympics of the Imagination" program. The youth art competition was first held during the 1994 Olympic Winter Games. Children are invited to submit pieces of artwork based on certain themes. The winners will receive a trip to the Olympic Games. For the upcoming Athens 2004 Olympic Winter Games, entrants are to create artwork on the theme, "How the Olympic Games Can Help Create a Better Future." The program will run from August 2003 through January 2004. Winners will be selected from Canada, China, seven European countries, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the Ukraine. Visa will promote the program with marketing and public relations campaigns, in-school efforts and cross-promotion with news media and Visa-member financial institutions and merchants.
