BREWERS OF CANADA BEGIN POSTCARD CAMPAIGN

The western region of the Brewers Association of Canada has begun a postcard campaign to attract tourists to Alberta. The campaign, called "Alberta...A Brand Worth Seeing," encourages residents of the province to send a postcard or an electronic message to someone outside the province. The postcard will be distributed as an insert in community papers, at participating hotels and liquor stores and at community events. Electronic messages can be sent from a Web site at <http://www.abrandworthseeing.com>. Each postcard that gets sent has a contest ballot attached to it. Two postcard recipients will win trips to Alberta. The first trip includes return airfare to Edmonton for the recipient and two tickets to an outdoor hockey game at Commonwealth Stadium on Nov. 22. The second trip includes return airfare to Calgary for the recipient and two VIP passes to the 2005 Calgary Stampede. The western region of the Canada Brewers Association used Weber Shandwick Worldwide to develop the campaign, which will run until Oct. 12.
