By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Staples Business Depot has begun a back-to-school marketing program consisting of a contest and a text messaging coupon. Called "Back2Cool," the campaign was developed by Toronto-based N5R. It is being promoted with email, print, broadcast, transit and theatre advertising, created in-house by the office supply retailer. The ads invite teens to enter the contest. The prizes include Motorola cell phones, movie passes, and a trip for two to an event at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. Entries can be submitted at <http://www.b2cool.ca> or by sending a text message from a cell phone. Entrants will receive coupons for special offers at Staples Business Depot. Web entrants must print a coupon; text message entrants must display an electronic coupon on a cell phone. According to company, the campaign is intended to increase sales and brand awareness. Media relations for the campaign are being handled by Jeff Roach and Associates of Toronto.
