TORONT03 CAMPAIGN CONTINUES
By Adnews Staff
The Toront03 Alliance has entered the second phase of an advertising and marketing campaign that promotes Toronto as a tourist destination. The effort involves a travel package called the "Kids Summer Road Trip" that offers free admission for children under 12 accompanied by an adult to a number of Toronto attractions. These include African Lion Safari, the Canadian National Exhibition, the Art Gallery of Ontario, the CN Tower, Casa Loma, Centreville, Ontario Place, the Ontario Science Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum and The Docks. These travel packages must be booked online at <http://www.toront03.com> or through a toll-free number before Sept. 1 and redeemed before Oct. 31. The offer is being promoted with 60-second television commercials in the northeastern U.S. The alliance's overall "Summer in the City" campaign began last month, targeting residents of U.S. border cities and cities outside the Greater Toronto Area. The first phase of the campaign included 30- and 60-second television ads, created by BBDO Canada, promoting Toronto events such as the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto concert, Caribana and the CNE.
