BRUNSWICK NEWS ACQUIRES TRANSCONTINENTAL WEEKLY

Brunswick News of Moncton, NB, has purchased weekly newspaper Bathurst's The Northern Light from Transcontinental Media. No financial details are known. Brunswick News publishes three daily newspapers and nine weeklies. Transcontinental acquired Bathurst's The Northern Light from CanWest Global Communications last year.
