CANADIAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION HIRES BLITZ
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Marketing Association has hired Blitz Direct, Data & Promotion of Toronto to work on its 2003 Awards event. Blitz was hired when parent company Cossette Communication Group contacted the CMA and expressed an interest in working for the association, according to Amanda Maltby, senior vice-president of public affairs and communications for the association. The association usually uses a given agency for two years. Most recently that agency has been Mosaic Group. Blitz will develop communications materials, print advertising and online communications for the awards program. The agency has already completed a direct mail piece that was sent out to agencies. The mailer contained information about the awards and how to enter. Promotion of the event will continue in mid-September. The 2003 CMA Awards will be presented in Toronto on Nov. 14.
