PINNACLE FOODS HIRES AXMITH MCINTYRE WICHT

Pinnacle Foods Canada of Mississauga has hired Axmith McIntyre Wicht to create advertising for its Swanson frozen foods line. Axmith was one of five agencies that participated in a creative review for the account. The incumbent, FCB Toronto, was invited but declined to participate. New national television creative for the Swanson brand will be released in the fall. Media planning is being handled by an independent consultant in Toronto, while media buying is done by New Jersey-based Active International, according to Carol Johnson, director of marketing at Pinnacle Foods
