COMEDY NETWORK HOLDS SIMPSONS CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
The Comedy Network has begun a contest called "Ultimate Simpsons Freak Week." The initiative, aimed at fans of the animated television series, offers viewers the chance to program favourite episodes of the show on the channel for one week during July. Until June 30, viewers can visit the channel's Web site to take a quiz on the episode that aired that night. One winner a per day will receive a prize package. On June 30, a grand prize winner will be drawn from among the daily winners. This person will select seven episodes of "The Simpsons" to air between July 14 and 20. The contest is being promoted with commercials created by The Comedy Network. The station also developed the concept for the contest, which is running in conjunction with The Comedy Network's current outdoor advertising campaign based on the show.
