AXIA SELLS PARALLEL STRATEGIES

Calgary-based Axia NetMedia has sold its marketing and communications unit, Parallel Strategies, to Trigger Communications & Design of Calgary. The sale took place on May 31. According to Larry Bannerman, president of Trigger, that corporate entity was set up specifically for the acquisition. The financial details are not known. "With our emphasis on IP interactive networks and media, we no longer saw Parallel as being strategic to Axia's future," said Axia president Murray Wallace. Parallel Strategies offers marketing, brand development, advertising, design, public relations, digital and Internet services.
