FIVE RESPOND TO DUNLOP TIRE NAME CHANGE PROMOTION

Five Canadians have responded to Dunlop Tire's Name Swap promotion. Begun in May as a follow-up to a promotion held last year, the initiative invited Canadians with the last name of a tire manufacturer, other than Dunlop, to legally change their surname to Dunlop. Those who do so will share $25,000. Participants had until Tuesday to express their interest. The five respondents, each with the last name Goodyear, have until Aug. 12 to change their names. The entrants are located in Victoria, Calgary, Toronto and Badger's Quay, NL. Last year four Canadians with the last name Dunlop changed their name to "Dunlop-Tire" for a share of $25,000. Public relations for Dunlop Tires are handled by Environics Communications of Toronto.
