MCDONALD'S BEGINS MCGRIDDLES CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
McDonald's Restaurants of Canada is promoting a new breakfast product called McGriddles. The sandwiches consist of bacon or sausage, egg and processed cheese between two hot cakes. The introduction of the sandwiches, which will be available beginning on Monday, will be promoted with a television commercial called "Rocket Boy" and two radio ads called "Blue Suit" and "Dog Named Jiffy." The campaign's tagline is "Bizarre. But in a good way." The television advertising was created by DDB Chicago, while the radio ads were done by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Toronto. In-store materials, also from Cossette, will also be used. Public relations for McDonald's are handled by Weber Shandwick Worldwide of Toronto.
