DESJARDINS INTRODUCES MONEY PATH PROGRAM

Montreal-based Desjardins Financial Security has begun an initiative intended to teache children about planning and saving money. The company specializes in life insurance, health insurance and retirement saving. The new program, called Money Path, is aimed at children four to 11 years of age. The kit contains a storybook, a goal-setting chart and an interactive component. Parents can order the materials by telephone or online. The first book in the series is free. Subsequent installments must be purchased. Desjardins is promoting the program with a public relations campaign from Stark Communications of Toronto.
