AXMITH MCINTYRE WICHT CREATES STORMWATER POLLUTION CAMPAIGN FOR CITY OF TORONTO
By Adnews Staff
Axmith McIntyre Wicht has created a television advertising campaign for the City of Toronto to deliver a message about stormwater pollution. The 30-second commercial is shot in the style of an old educational film. In it, a scientist demonstrates a "sophisticated filtration device," a grate, from the storm sewer system. The scientist says that the sewer grate prevents solid materials from entering the sewer, but it does not keep out oil, soap or pesticides from lawns. These liquids flow into the lake, polluting the city's beaches, the scientist says. The ad ends with a request for Torontonians to keep the lakes clean this summer. The ad broke yesterday and will run locally for six weeks.
