PEPSI STUFF CONSUMER PROMOTION BEGINS
By Adnews Staff
Pepsi-QTG of Mississauga began a consumer promotion called "Pepsi Stuff" on May 18. The initiative will run until Sept. 8. It will involve approximately 165 million specially marked Pepsi, 7UP and Mountain Dew products. Consumers collect points under the cap liners or inside packaging. These points can be redeemed for Sony electronics, Pepsi Stuff apparel, phone cards, Famous Players movie theatre gift certificates, bracelets, backpacks, watches and handbags. The available merchandise is listed in a Pepsi Stuff catalogue. Approximately 12 million catalogues will be distributed to retailers nationally. The content can also be viewed online at <http://www.pepsistuff.ca>. Participating retailers Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC and Famous Players will also issue points for purchases of some Pepsi products. The promotion is being supported with a national campaign consisting of television, billboard and interior transit advertising in major cities. The advertising was developed by Toronto-based BBDO Canada. Public relations for Pepsi are handled by Praxis Public Relations of Mississauga.
