CLEARLY CANADIAN, TOURISM COMMISSION HOLD U.S. CONTEST

Vancouver-based beverage maker Clearly Canadian and the Canadian Tourism Commission have begun a national retail sweepstakes in the U.S. Called "Discover Clearly Canadian," the initiative involves four million specially marked bottles of Clearly Canadian sparkling flavoured water with winning tokens concealed under some of the caps. In addition to instant win prizes, 11 Canadian vacations will also be disbursed. Ten of the trips will consist of five days and four nights for two at a Westin or Sheraton hotel in Canada, along with airfare, car rental and a Kodak camera. The final trip will last for eight days and seven nights. In-store materials, created by Karacters Design Group of Vancouver, and public relations, handled by Clearly Canadian, are promoting the contest. Additional support includes promotion in the commission's spring travel brochure and on its Web site at <http://www.travelcanada.ca>. The contest will run until the end of September.
