HUMPTY DUMPTY BREAKS NEW TV CAMPAIGN

Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods of Kitchener, ON began a new television advertising campaign in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes yesterday. The campaign was created by Toronto-based Goodgoll Curtis to promote the changes to the Humpty Dumpty brand made last month. The snack food distributor modified its chips and seasonings and released new packaging. In the first of the two commercials, a teenage couple eats chips while watching TV. The girl wipes her fingers on the front of her T-shirt, leaving handprints on her chest. Her parents walk in, see the handprints and look at the boy, who waves. His hand is covered with chip seasoning. In the second ad, a teenage boy eats cheese sticks while he waits for his clothes to dry. One of the two dryers stops. The boy reaches in and pulls out a woman's thong. A woman walks into the laundromat. The boy throws the thong back in the dryer and sits down. The woman opens the dryer and finds orange seasoning on her thong. She looks at the boy, who is eating an orange cheese stick. The campaign's tagline is, "Life is full of flavour." The ads, in English and French, will run until September.
