DESJARDINS AWARDS ACCOUNT TO LG2

Quebec financial institution Desjardins has appointed Montreal-based LG2 its new advertising agency. The account had previously been with Marketel of Montreal, according to Serge Roy, director of advertising for Desjardins. The agency review was undertaken because Desjardins' contract with Marketel will end in June. LG2, which pitched for the account with Carat Montreal, was up against Marketel and Palm Publicité Marketing. Creative and strategy will be handled by LG2, while the media portion of the account will be handled by Carat.
