BRIDGESTONE/FIRESTONE RE-SIGNS TORCHIA
By Adnews Staff
Bridgestone/Firestone Canada of Mississauga has renewed its use of Torchia Communications of Montreal. The agency has worked for the tire company since 2000 when Torchia was hired to handle public relations for Bridgestone's involvement in motor racing. Based on that work, the company decided to increase Torchia's assignment in 2003 to include public relations for the company's consumer department, according to John Lindo, manager of public relations for Bridgestone. "We analyzed our options for 2003 and came to the conclusion that Torchia Communications would be the best agency to achieve our public relations goals," said Lindo. Bridgestone/Firestone also uses Toronto-based Ketchum Public Relations for several projects, including its Truck Hero Award program.
