BECEL BEGINS HEALTHY HEART PROGRAM

Toronto-based Unilever Canada has begun a program in support of its Becel margarine line intended to educate Canadians about heart disease and encourage them to make small lifestyle changes that will benefit heart health. The program consists of a Heart Healthy Web site at <http://www.becelhearthealthysteps.com> that describes the three factors affecting heart health as nutrition, exercise and stress management. Visitors to the site can read weekly updates from two people following a twelve week program intended to foster heart health: singer and songwriter Amy Sky and pharmacist Harvey Leopold. Visitors can also sign up to receive a personal four-week plan along the same lines, including advice on diet, exercise and stress reduction. The site also offers a diet tracker, a collection of recipes and a shopping list generator.
