TrojanOne of Toronto has been retained as event marketing agency of record by directory publisher SuperPages of Burnaby, BC. The agency, formerly known as Trojan Sports & Event Marketing, has worked for SuperPages on a number of event marketing projects since 2000. An upcoming program in 80 communities called the "SuperPages Event Centre" will be TrojanOne's first assignment as AOR. "We gladly chose TrojanOne to take care of our unique event marketing needs because they have proven expertise in the creative development and execution of community-oriented programs and know how to make them happen on a national scale," said SuperPages communications manager Jules Heyward.
In related news, TrojanOne has been hired by the Eco-Challenge North American Championship to handle its marketing, including sponsorships, syndication and promotions. The Eco-Challenge is a race in which athletes attempt to complete a wilderness course in the shortest possible time. The North American qualifier race will take place in Sault Ste. Marie, ON from July 18 to 27. The winners will be eligible to compete in the world championship later this year. "We needed to find an organization experienced in running an event on this scale and TrojanOne has the set of skills that will take the Eco-Challenge North American Championship to new heights," said Steve Menzie, the director of the race.
